The 12th Meeting of the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation’s Board of Directors took place on Jan. 24, 2014 at the UNWTO headquarters in Madrid, Spain. As a chairperson of Board of Directors of UNWTO ST-EP Foundation, Amb. Dho Young-shim opened the meeting and welcomed the participants, including UNWTO Secretary General, the President of the Foundation, UNWTO Executive Directors, and representatives of UNWTO Secretariat and participating board member countries.
This Board Meeting was focused on the transformation of the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation into the new International ST-EP Organization. This meeting was followed by a cocktail/reception hosted by Amb. Dho Young-shim, Chairperson of Board of Directors, and Dr. Taleb Rifai, UNWTO Secretary General. In the past month, further progress has been made to transform the ST-EP Foundation into the new International ST-EP Organization.On the same day, the 1st Working Group Meeting took place prior to the 12th meeting of the Board of Directors of the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation in order to review the progress made in the transformation process and provide guidance on the next steps.
